1. Data coverage: Monthly gross renewable electricity generation statistics for Taiwan from conventional hydropower, geothermal, solar PV, wind (onshore and offshore), biomass (solid and gaseous) and waste. 2. Collection purpose: To support energy-related policy planning and management in Taiwan. 3. Collection methods: (1) Conventional hydropower, geothermal, solar PV and wind: Gross generation by technology, based on reports from electricity generation enterprises, self-use generating facilities and electricity retail enterprises purchasing electricity from Type III renewable energy generating facilities. (2) Biomass and waste: Quantities of biomass and waste used as fuel inputs for electricity generation by self-use generating facilities, based on reported fuel consumption and calculated using the fuel allocation formula.
