Scope

These terms apply to the web pages, RSS and JSON feeds, public API, Open Data directory and Research workspace of Island Frequency (https://ccs.tw, "the site"). The site is run by Keven Liao as an individual. By using the site, you agree to these terms. For how personal data and analytics are handled, see Privacy & analytics.

Content on this site

  • "My writing" contains research notes written for this site.
  • "News" contains curated summaries. The original article governs its full content and limitations; each item links to the original and lists the source type and original publication date.
  • The "Open data directory" lists links to public data from agencies and platforms. The data itself is maintained by the original providers.
  • The "Research workspace" shows publicly sourced project sites on a map.

Copyright and citation

  • Copyright in the site's original text, charts and layout belongs to Keven Liao. All rights reserved.
  • You may quote or cite the site's content if you include the article title and its canonical URL, and keep the original sources and dates shown in the article.
  • Original articles, data and images quoted in "News" belong to their authors or publishers. Check with the rights holder before republishing them.
  • Images marked "AI-generated illustration" or "(illustration)" were produced with AI tools to explain a concept. They do not show real facilities, locations or data.

Reference only

  • Content is compiled from public information available at the time of writing. It may contain errors or omissions, or become outdated as policies and data change.
  • Nothing on the site is investment, legal, engineering, accounting or other professional advice. Before making decisions based on it, check the original sources or consult a qualified professional.
  • When a translation has not been published, the page shows the original text. If language versions differ, the Traditional Chinese (zh-Hant) version prevails.

Research workspace and Open Data

  • Sites in the Research workspace are approximate facility locations, not equipment or wellhead positions. Progress reflects the date stated by the source and may not be current.
  • Basemaps, 3D buildings and other layers load directly from the providing agencies and are subject to their licence terms. Do not bulk-download or cache map tiles.
  • Datasets in the Open Data directory do not share a single licence. Check the licence, attribution and usage limits on each dataset's original website; where the site has not confirmed them, it shows "see original website".
  • WKT drawings you paste into the Research workspace stay in your current browsing session only and are not added to public sites.

Third-party websites and services

External websites, original sources and map services linked from the site are run by their own operators, and their content, availability and privacy practices are outside the site's control. When external map data loads, the providing agency receives ordinary network request information.

Comments and feedback

  • Article comments are published only after review. Approved nicknames, comments and editor replies are public; email addresses are not.
  • Do not post content that is illegal, infringes others' rights, harasses or discriminates, or contains advertising, spam or other people's personal data.
  • Comments that break these rules may be withheld or removed without notice.
  • Do not post comments or submit feedback by automated means, and do not try to bypass human verification.

Automated access and API

  • The public API and feeds are read-only and need no login. See the Agent access.
  • Identify your program honestly in the User-Agent, obey Retry-After and use ETag conditional requests to avoid overloading the site.
  • Do not simulate human reading events or call reader analytics endpoints.

Member accounts

  • Membership is by invitation; accounts are created by the administrator. Keep your username and password to yourself.
  • "Writing drafts" are stored only in your browser and are not synced to the site. Clearing browser data deletes them, so export a backup.

Changes to these terms

The site may change these terms. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by and interpreted under the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan).
